A lot of the news sites I saw reporting it were Indian. Here is an article from newsweek.com but even they are just reporting that there are rumours.

I doubt very much there is an actual coup. It could be that there is a backlash to Xi wanting a 3rd term even though after the cult of Mao, the Party do not want another President for life and had limited all those after Mao to 2 terms.

This is ahead of the Communist Party Congress meeting where Xi was expected to change that to allow him a 3rd term.

It would be nice (doubt it given the sources are mostly Indian and Falun Gong media). But what comes after that? Hope there is no civil war. If there is, would not surprise me if the CIA is knee deep in it.
