    Ya, I tend to wimp out on the side plank a bit and don't do enough reps. I've been going at it for 2 months now so I am committed. I'll just need to suck it up more with the side planks.

    McGill is also very big on walking. He has a whole chapter on it.

      Are you doing side plank raises? I'm just doing the side plank and holding for 1 min, and even they suck. Raises would suck even more.
      We may not be good but at least we'll be slow - PB

        I do 3-4 ten second reps on each side. I should be doing 10-12 reps on each side. I'll probably try to increase gradually.

          I had noticeable improvement within a few weeks, but it sounds like your back issues were more involved than mine.
