I'm a Leafs fan, but it will be a challenge advancing. Bruins will put up a big fight.
I want to punch Marchand in the face.
Max is not his dad...too bad Tie wasn't around to smash up Marchand.

I'm generally not a Canucks fan, but hoppd on the wagon this year....hope they advance too.

I think the Oilers have a good team...so think they will advance.

I predict one Cdn team won't advance.

However I am leaning the opposite way in regards to your final 3 predictions in the west.

Sean McIndoe (Down Goes Brown) made the following observation.

Vancouver Canucks have now been in the NHL for 54 seasons and never won a Cup.

In 1994 the Canucks went to the Finals and lost to a team that had gone 54 seasons without winning a Cup.

Will fate step in and lead to a Canucks/Rangers final?

I'm inclined to agree with you. The top teams seem to be a lot closer now in terms of talent an play than in the past.

I don't follow the game closely enough to have a good opinion on why. A combination of rules changes and salary cap perhaps?

The Leafs hopes ride on the play of Samsanov.

He has always been a "streaky" goaltender, and his play the last few games has given me cause for great concern.
