She is 17 and still a child...Yet she is the most scrutinized teenager in the world (correct me if I am wrong, but I think Lindsay Lohan turned 20 already).

I guess the criticism should be directed to her camp and handlers, not her as a kid. Even if it is her decisions for most of her debacles, she is not breaking the laws or hurting people, like a lot of young people do. And yet, we have the Young Offender Act to protect these law-breaking young people.

Absolutely....and the fact her advisors are her parents makes you scratch your head even more. I cannot think of ONE parent who would allow their child to be subjected to the scrutiny she has and the fact it is her parents themselves causes me to wonder how much they respect their daughter. Either that or they are the stupidest parents on the face of the earth.

I can understand the money driven aspect... but why not push her to dominate the amateur world, as many of the true greats did, while she finishes her oh-so-important academic persuits? Kinda puts things into perspective, huh?
