Will let racmbs speak for himself but pretty sure he means that he actually knows and has a relationship with him , not "knows him" as in having read some posts he made on a internet website. The latter is quite a stretch of the term " knows him".

That's a good start to the new season, hopefully it is an omen for him. A few other Canucks made the cut too, including Taylor Pendrith. On the other hand Adam Hadwin shot 77 after an opening 66 to miss the cut.

He should have been specific then; besides that's no excuse for promoting under age drinking.
As a certified AGCO golf marshal you should know that better than most.
Can't imagine you promoting or allowing it at your course.
If he had replied that it was a totally stupid thing to do, but no he tried to circumvent it by saying he knew him.

            He was joking around.

You don't seriously think he was seriously promoting underage drinking, do you?

            Like, seriously?

Give me a break you man-child. I’m promoting underage drinking? Have you lost what little mind you have? Do you sit at your living room window and finger-wag all the speeders in your neighbourhood too? Whatever drinking you’ve done or been doing has seriously eroded any IQ level you possessed. Just stop as you sound like a complete tool.

I met Michael during his time on TGN. My encounter with him was very positive and very happy to see him excel. I will always remember his dad driving to meet me in the middle of the night to get Mike a set of irons he really wanted/needed.

I’m sure Mike has a lot of supporters here on TGN, including some who work as their sponsor.

I didn't see a thread on this week's RSM classic tournament, so just thought I'd post it here - IF I'm reading it right, Michael Gligic will be teeing it up Sunday with Taylor Pendrith. They're both T26 at -6.

Good to see a couple of Canucks going head to head in the mix, along with Hughes (T5) and Conners (T20) ahead of them.

You can also add Sloan and Hadwin to the Sunday mix.
Be aware this is as early as it gets with PGA tournaments on US soil.
Final group goes off at 11.15 and with it being groups of three double Teed, this will be over really early..

While it isn't exactly a top tier event, it's still the PGA Tour. Nice to see the Canadians doing well.

These fringe season events are great for the "lesser" players to compete and have a chance. Sure, the events this season severely lack star power but I kinda like the unwritten "code" there seems to be giving these guys a chance to win some $ and perhaps gain some recognition and sponsorship opportunities.

There are no bad players on tour as evidenced by the scores , even if Webb Simpson is the only really recognizable name on the leaderboard that pops up on the TGN front page.

there has been talk of eliminating or reducing these events, I hope not for the above reason and it gives us something to watch versus the typical crappy silly season events.

Hawaii remains the start of the "real" golf season for me.

Giglic birdies first hole this morning, hopefully Michael can keep it going like that for the rest of his final round and pick up some worthwhile coin.

Especially since the first reshuffle of the season is tomorrow.
