Only a month or so left in the season and Tiger hasn't won one stroke play tournament yet. Is it because he fired Butch Harmon or is it because he's distracted (and rightly so) by a very HOT Nordegren or has everyone just stepped up their game and competing with Tiger week in and week out?

Hey guys, I just signed up, wow this site is cool!!.....I'd have to disagree with a few of you there, Tiger was just going through some funk, just like every golfer does...VJ had his in the early part of his career and now he's rocking! Tiger is looking much better later on in the season and I predict good things from him in the next!!

This is just some PGA Tour stats for 2004 that I dug up regarding Tiger:
- Currently 3rd on the money list
- eight top-5 finishes (ranked 3rd), twelve top-10 finishes (also ranked 3rd)
- one of only two players to make all the cuts for this season
- currently tied for 3rd in scoring avg
- ranked 6th in driving distance
- ranked 2nd in putting avg
- ranked 1st in birdie avg
If this season is considered his slump, then it's still a pretty darn scary slump!
At the same time, I agree that as of this moment, VJ s/b #1, he's earned it and all his stats show it as well.Feherty: " 270 to carry the water, you might want to lay up SnowFlake "

I agree Tigers stats don't really reflect a slump. Most guys on tour would dream to have those stats. Its just that Tiger is Tiger and like Jaydog said, he raised the bar to a level thats even too high for Tiger to reach. Tremendous pressure on him every tournament he plays...but to be shut out for wins in one season is so hard to imagine for him."Bessie Braddock: Sir, you are drunk.
