  • Hunter Mahan joins BioSteel

Hunter Mahan has signed to be part of Team BioSteel. For those that don't know about Biosteel, they are a canadian based company that has offered sports supplement drinks (High performance sports drink for pre and during workouts, and the advandced recovery drink for post).

If you watch hockey, you've probably seen their products used by tyler seguin, mike cammalleri, carey price to name a few.

I have used the high performance sports drink since last august for workout, and hockey and have started using during rounds of golf to keep me going.

Nice to see Mahan join the company and see the products perhaps get more visibility (similar to Fuse and Tiger??) in the US and outside of hockey.

I just can't see myself paying $65 for electrolytes I can get from Amino Vital and a few apples on the golf course.

    If it was cheaper, maybe.

This....and Amino Vital is expensive/overpriced too.

You can get the same thing as BioSteel for much much cheaper if you know a little about what you're putting into your body.

      Good on them though.

        You just need connections

When I first heard about the stuff last summer I emailed them a question and the owner called me personally to answer. Thats customer service. Been a fan ever since.

I have a connection, but it's still expensive for electrolytes.

I'm definitely not saying it's doesn't work, but we can get the same essential nutrients from fruits and nuts, along with hydrating ourselves with plain old water.

But I'll admit I've fallen victim to the Amino Vital craze, I think it's because it tastes like grape juice.

I agree - i drink tons and tons of water and do eat fruits and nuts as you saw on sat lol. I just like the difference of adding some biosteel to give me some added flavour and a bit of a boost.

I cant stand the taste of the grape amino vital lol...i actually like the biosteel taste...my wife on the other hand hates the smell of both.

I reccommended this stuff in another thread earlier. I use their whey mix for workouts and the electrolyte mix before rounds and pre-workouts.

He was probably embarrassed by what he saw flopping around in super slo-mo in the Golf Boys video.

He endorses the product. I'd love to know what makes it special other than a bunch of NHLers endorsing it. You'll notice that a bunch of the guys endorsing it are guys that train with Roberts' team in the summer (Biznasty, Stamkos, etc).
