Gonna giv'er a go but have a question: How do you "squirt 10-12 drops" on the grips? I've got the Simoniz bottle. Should 3 or 4 trigger pulls be enough or 10-12 trigger pulls.


Hope I don't get into too much trouble trying this in the kitchen.


Yeah, the more I think about it the more I think I most definitley will .

I rejuvenated the grips on my set of '86 Wilson Staff with Simoniz Tire Cleaner avec Bleche Wite.( sounds more active in French)
It was a two-part process in that I used the less expensive Simoniz all-purpose cleaner to get rid of the past years of grease and grime first.
Then I sprayed them with the Bleche- wite tire cleaner and let it set for 5 minutes so it could soften the rubber. I repeated that 3 times, wiping down the last application. They are good to go.

Depends on the applicator on the bottle. Try 1 tigger pull and ensure down full length of grip. Around a dozen drops only. No need to waste it as some will fall off in the sink before you get a brush on it. Don't hurt to go over a 2nd time if real grimey. One bottle should last over 10 years. A little goes a long way.

Does this work on Golf Pride New Decade Grips?

Probably the best grips that benefit from this process. Tried with Lamkin and Mizuno m21 and turns out good, but not as good with the cord of the new decades.

Same here.
Cord grips reponded excellent.
The residue washed off was all black and the grip graphics actually shined afterwards.

One question : I got the exact one with the same Can Tire product code but I don't noticed anything saying Bleche Wite. Did I get the wrong thing ??

I have the same one, it's the same formulation just in a new bottle (matches the other products). You can smell the bleach when you use the product (check the rear label, it may mention the active ingredients on the back).

Reminds me that I'm due for a cleaning.

OK, so I just tried this. I clean my grips with a nylon brush and dish soup every second round, so there was no dirt to be seen using the "secret"' BUT it did reactivate the rubber, which is what I was hoping for. Thanks to the OP for sharing

Sorry I don't understand....off to Canadian tire! The season starts this Sunday!
