If it is like previous years, I believe Annandale is open in any conditions.

Fortunately there are no rules limiting the number of golf balls you can carry during a match!

Grass looks pretty green still, as the snow (slowly) begins to melt --- really want to play in December again this year -- but temps don't look promising

On the other hand, have played twice at SwingGolfLounge the last couple of weekends -- really like that place! Good food too!

IMHO, courses "panicked" a bit too much during that brutal cold spell in shutting down for the Season, and maybe reconsidering/regretting their decision ???

4C and sunny today . . . to bad the course is under snow . . . still a very nice day to clean up a bit and go for a walk in the bush . . .
If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

                    You may be right.

As for GolfNow they really need to upgrade their information/system.

Don't forget courses cannot just stop playing golf one day and shut it all down the next. They have to put the course and all the equipment, rakes, benches, signs, tee markers, ball washers, garbage cans, winterize washrooms, put pull and drive carts etc all away and prep the course for winter.

this typically happens over a few days and they need somewhat decent weather to do so. Our course for example, has 6 sets of stone tee markers, close to 400 rakes that , numerous benches , hand carved wooden hole signs etc that have to be taken apart, collected and put away ....on top of all the rest.

when the forecast is like it has been with a few weeks of cold and snow a decision has to be made to close when they can or risk not getting a chance

Yes, agree. The snow we got was more than a little dusting. If we received a light cover that was forecast as being around for a day or so, we would see the traditional late closers hanging in for the longer run. They have done this before. But this extended stay....it's been more than a week now, really made it impossible to remain "on hold" this late in the season.

Playing at Pine Knot, east of London, tomorrow. They should be open for the next week or more...
The fellow in the Pro Shop I spoke with played 9 this afternoon and he said the course was dry and in great shape (for November).

Could you kindly report back to us, with pics if possible......bit of a trek for me to London, but if it's even semi-decent, I would rather play than go to the Christmas Market!
