I'm starting to wonder if he slept through his media training as rookie???

People have speculated that his shyness is part of the reason his draft stock fell as much as it did. Meh - whatever...not everyone wants the limelight. I don't see it as an issue myself.

I thought Duthie did a decent job making the most of a pretty painful pointless couple hrs of TV.

I loved Duthie's line of growing up in Ottawa but becoming a man in Hull.

She had my attention until she started talking. Looked like she was maybe forced into doing the show. She definitely doesn't have the excitement you need for hockey television. Neither does Duthie. Hall of Fame induction is just as painful to watch.

They need some creativity for that show. 'Could've all gone down to the Canal, thrown their sticks in the middle and pick teams the old school way. Then have them break out into a shinny game right then and there. F' the suits and Tweets, get on the ice and let's see and hear them have some fun. Having these super stars sitting in rows like they're at church, does nothing for the fans.

I turned off the show and watched Hendrick interview Wilson on Leafs TV.

His skating ability is outrageously good, is there a better skating defenseman in the NHL right now?

I like him (Gardiner) a lot too.The Karlsson kid in Ottawa a ways ahead of him. Amazing trade though. There are other teams out there dumber than the Leafs.

When's our next trade with Calgary or Anaheim?

Some things just might never happen . . . . although I am with you - I wish he would have a nice 3 or 4 point game against the Bruins sometime soon. But then again, as a team it does not feel like we have had a 3-4 point game ever :-( At least since October anyway.....

I'm not even setting the bar that high. I'd take "occasionally" against Boston. Actually, the way the Bs have owned us this year, I'd take an OT loss and be somewhat happy...

Nobody gets it done against Boston, they are +69 in goal differential

I know the Rangers are ahead in the standings, but I think Boston is the only powerhouse in the East, going to be a very tough road to the Cup for anybody who has to go through there.

Karlsson has great offensive instincts, unbelievable passer....but I still think Gardiner is a better skater, and I'm not sure Karlsson is big enough to ever be strong in his own zone.

Pretty good draft for dmen in 2008 - Doughty, Bogosian, Pietrangelo, Schenn, Myers, Karlsson, Gardiner, Sbisa, Del Zotto, Carlson all in the first round!

Karlsson has great offensive instincts, unbelievable passer....but I still think Gardiner is a better skater, and I'm not sure Karlsson is big enough to ever be strong in his own zone.

Pretty good draft for dmen in 2008 - Doughty, Bogosian, Pietrangelo, Schenn, Myers, Karlsson, Gardiner, Sbisa, Del Zotto, Carlson all in the first round!

That is scary good considering everyone of them is making a significant impact in the league.
