I am going to miss much of tonight's game against the hated Habs because I will be at my Dad's 90th Birthday party.

Sadly, I was certain I heard the sound of our leafs missing the playoffs last night. So many games now lost to teams below and a quite challenging schedule coming up. My optimism is fading fast .....

That was the low point of the season, IMO. Atrocious, simply atrocious.

With any luck, the Rangers will do them a favour and beat the Caps today, but I'm not holding my breath. It's smelling like 9th place by Monday to me...

Leafs need to play their speed game if they have any chance of hanging on to that 8th place spot. By a thread right now.

Not sure why the monster did not get the start.. they are playing terrible and I totally give up on Reimer he lookds terrible....

We need a Goalie..

Time to run two more goalies out of town I suppose. Give it a rest.
This team has NO, I repeat NO CHANCE to push deep into the palyoffs regardless of who's in net. These guys are no better or worse than the team in front of them, really good when they are good but too inconsistent right now to be considered in elite company. Exactly the way I would describe the rest of the team.

The goalies are just fine until such point as the team looks like a serious playoff contender and the goalies are clearly not up to that standard. IMO this point is still at least 2 years away. Let them play, Let them grow with the young team, quit running goalies out of town.

I have not watched much leaf hockey in the last few years (with good reason) but I have to admit they have me watching lately an I have seen some superb goaltending from both guys. Reimers two shutouts were outstanding and the Monsters play prior to that was "big league". The consistency will come as with the rest of the team.

I'll assume they lost which would make it 5 losses in a row.

Chicago's record has nothing to do with the fact that Phaneuf is a bad defenceman and that he looked like pylon on that goal.
