America was a cute experiment, but it is looking like a failed experiment now.
But.... as Chaucey-G might say, all good things must come to an end.

Then again, he was being interviewed by some lackey lazy liberal from CNN so it's just FAKE NEWS.
Sad.
"Confusion" will be my epitaph

I thought he sounded weak. Not a single call for violence and oppression. WTF sort of "answer" is that?

I heard his speech, and could not believe it. He is not a leader, and he clearly demonstrated that. I agree there should be no support for the violent protesters, that cause damage to property, and loot just to take advantage of the opportunity. In their time of grief, the Floyd family is attempting to stop the violence etc. through their comments. They are much greater leaders, and examples to others, during this time than Trump.
I had watched Robert Kennedy announce the death of MLK to a crowd. It seems that type of leadership no longer exists in the world and especially in the United States.
Trump's hypocrisy is unabated. He proclaims his support for peaceful protest, and then has the police and secret service, fire tear gas, and rubber bullets, to disperse a peaceful protest so he can have a meaningless photo op.
Of course, in his speech right after proclaiming his support for peaceful protest, he also stated his support for the 2nd amendment. I guess trying to not lose all his voters.
How ANYONE in the US can support him baffles me?

My political leanings are right , and sometimes extreme right, much more than left. I do not disagree with every policy that Trump has voiced. However that does not mean that I would support someone who has absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever and is always the most disgusting person in any room that he is in. In my entire life I cannot remember any public figure in the democratic world who was more disgusting in every way than Donald Trump . Or more divisive to his nation. Or who has managed to alienate every strong ally that the USA has had. Or who has turned the USA into the laughing stock of the free world [and probably the entire world.
It does not matter how politically right you are how anyone can possibly think that Trump is anything but a totally disgusting , vulgar and vile, and a sickening human being is totally beyond me.

It doesn't matter what trump does for the dumb *** "arm chair presidents". He does nothing he's terrible. He does something he's terrible.
The major problem through his presidency hasn't been him. Its been the dems who would do anything to undermine him to the point they'd sacrifice everything. Just like the looters that would burn their own communities to make a point.
For all the morons complaining about trump here, if trump had never got in they'd just be complaining about whoever did.
You mean the Dems who when Trump asked for $1.8b to fight the virus on Feb 24 told him it wasn't enough and fought for $8.5b? Those people who actually wanted to do something? Trump's management of Covid has been great just look at the numbers. What? Just what has he done well during Covid? Is it his medical advice? His denial? His "swift" decisive action? Please do tell. How about the protest crisis? What has he done? Governors, republican governors are asking him to "shut up".
This forum has existed through 4 presidencies now. Their are no 100 page threads about any other president. Not sure their is a thread with 20 pages about another president. We didn't always love former presidents or agree with them but they were decent human beings with a clue. Trump supporters were sucked in by his nationalist populism and look what they have wrought. Like Trump, they won't admit their leader was wrong, it's somebody else's fault. Like the Dems or the media or Obama. Like your post.

Trump had troops use tear gas to disperse a peaceful demonstration just so he could have a photo up with a borrowed bible outside a church that did not invite or want him to do so.
And none of us were surprised.
If accurately assessing a person's character makes us "morons," what does that say about people who had, or still have, the wool pulled over their eyes?

ummm, yeah. Biden would be better than trump. At least he probably won't get any law enforcement votes.

Some police will definitely not vote for Trump, if the Houston PD Chief’s admonition of Trump yesterday is any indication. The Chief said in so many words that Trump should shut up about the riots if he has nothing constructive to say.

This isn't a dress rehearsal. Enjoy yourself. There's no do-over.

Nice backhanded statement at the end of the tweet. Nothing unexpected from DJT I suppose. How the most prominent figure in the United States gets away with such blatant trolling is beyond me.10 degree Cobra Fly-Z+ / Matrix White Tie 55X4
